The Plot

Earth, 2000

Everything was going great. Exactly how it should have been in the world of Earth-X. Following the events of the New 52, 52 new earths were created, but this one was special. Dubbed Earth-X by the mysterious Creator he set forth the events that would allow this world to evolve much like it counterparts. From the depths of the abyss rose great heroes, whose sole purpose in life was to fight their evil counterparts. Of course when they grew weak working as a single unit that is when they founded the Justice League. Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash, Green Lanter, and Martian Manhunter were the founding members of this group. With their combined might they were easily able to stop all threats from destroying the Earth.

Earth,2012

Years passed, and their numbers grew to incorporate a much larger group of heroes, and while this increase of numbers bolstered their strength, it was ultimately their downfall. With most of the League members taking residence up in the space colony of the Watchtower they soon fell prey to a catastrophic event. Four of the greatest villains in all of the universes history teamed up, and devised a plan that would wipe the Justice League out of existence.

Braniac, Lex Luthor, Doomsday, and Darkseid all forged an alliance. Luthor found the remains of Doomsday who had recently been defeated by Superman following the event of the Black Lanterns. Upon getting the great monsters remains Luthor cloned Doomsday 2,000 times. Inside each one he placed an inhibitor chip that reacted to the Psychic Amplifier that he wore on his head. Using the Psychic Amplifier allowed him to control the army of Doomsday’s with a mere thought. So their plan began.

In one fell swoop Luthor commanded his entire Doomsday army to lay waste to the entire city of Metropolis. Of course Green Lanter, Wonder Woman, and Superman all came down to stop the thread along with several other leaguers such as Supergirl, Aquaman, and Cyborg. While the strongest of the Justice League were on Earth fighting the Doomsday Army, Braniac, and Darkseid enacted phase two of their plan.

Braniac hijacked the controls of the Watchtower, and giving Darkseid entrance to the remainder of the Justice League that were on Standby they used the Watchtowers own defensive measures to destroy the rest of the Justice League. Using Braniacs technopathy powers, and Darkseids brute force the rest of the League was no match for them. One by one they fell, and using his interdimensional transporter, they boosted the power of it immensely, and sent the Watchtower into the core of a dying star. When the star collapsed on itself it ripped the Watchtower to shreds killing all of those inside of it instantly.

The six remaining leaguers who were still on Earth fighting off the Doomsday army were slowly failing. Overwhelmed by sheer numbers, and Doomsday’s pure physical force they were all eventually taken apart. The last one remaining was the Man of Steel himself. Fighting bravely he held out for as long as he could until eventually even he too fell defeated. Knowing that Superman could never truly from fighting as long as he was in the sun’s rays, Luthor, and Darkseid sent Superman into the core of a Red Star. Chaining him to the inside of it with chains made of Kryptonite the strongest of all Earth’s heroes fell on that day, and there was no way to save him, or even locate him.

With all of Earth’s heroes finally gone, and no one left to oppose them each of the Warlords as they would become known in history finally set about doing their goals. Lex Luthor seized mankind with an iron fist, becoming it’s new President, and ushered in a new age. An age without Heroes. Keeping his Doomsday armada under lock, and key, he shut down Braniac, and sent him back to his home world, during which the human race of that world revolted, and he was destroyed.

Darkseid entering into a peace treaty with Luthor promised to never try to conquer Earth again as long as he could have the surrounding planets for their resources. Striking a deal between the two devils Earth was left alone, and LexCorp finally had control over mankind.

Earth,2030

18 years have now passed, and mankind has become extraordinarily more advanced. Thanks to LexCorps advancements they have been able to stay the course, and make tremendous leaps in science. The Landscape appears unchanged however. With greed filling up his body Lex Luthor refused to share his advancements with anyone unless they could pay him well, but very few were able to meet his price thus he kept most of his technological wonders under lock, and key in several locations. The world is the same as it was 18years ago, except crime has become out of control. With no heroes left to defend humanity many new threats have begun to appear. However unknown to those new criminals, and even the President himself, the legacy of the heroes lives on.

Many heroes had children though they themselves did not know it, but they were not the only one to leave behind a legacy. Without heroes to stop them the villains were able to run rampant for a time, and while most of them are locked up, they have a legacy all of their own.

Now is the time to seize your destiny, fulfill the legacy of your parentage, and shape the world. Whether it’s for better or worse is up to you. Welcome to The New Generation.
